Kelso - Scottish Borders

With a population of approx. 12, 000 the ancient Market Town of Kelso is located in the heart of the Scottish Borders 44 miles south of Edinburgh and 70 miles north of Newcastle.  Situated on the banks where the River Tweed meets the River Teviot its picturesque Cobbled Market Square is the ideal setting for the numerous examples of Georgian and Victorian Architecture which are over looked by the ruins of Kelso Abbey from 1128.

The town boasts a diverse array of unique, independent shops, pubs, cafes, hotels and restaurants and is the ideal location for any tourist or traveller with Floors Castle only a few minutes away.

With huge variety of clubs and organisations there is plenty of leisure activities for both the local community and visitors alike.  One of the highlights in July is the town's Civic Week.

The town's High School is located on Angraflat Road and was opened in November 2017.
